輪島塗 (Wajima Nuri)
Wajima Lacquerware production is done before topcoating. It is reinforced by pasting a cloth with a mixture of lacquer and rice glue on thick wood. It is a lacquer ware made by placing weight on the "durability" which paints many layers of underlay mixed lacquer, rice glue, and calcined diatomaceous earth.
■ Traditional technology
· It is necessary to apply the base coat with the following technology.
· After painting lacquer on wooden grounds, use "Kisemono Lacquer" coated hemp or cold weaver to do "Nunogise".
· Repeat painting and sharpening what is mixed with rice lacquer and rice "Wajima powder".
· Do "Hananuri" or "Roironuri" with purified lacquer for top coat.
· When decorating, do it with "Chingin" or "Makie".
· We need to do the following techniques to build wooden buildings.
· Grinding objects are made with a potting racquet and a potter's staff.
· Use "Kokuso Lacquer" for boards and bends.
■ Raw materials that have been traditionally used
Lacquer uses natural lacquer.
The wooden plants use hiba, zelkova, wigwort and lion.
